Happy 32nd birthday to my Son

Happy 32nd birthday Son
We love you
Celebrate you and surround yourself with people that do.
May Heaven hear your every wish♥
Blessings of the most fabulous kind.

Desiderata (by Max Ehrmann)

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender

be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly

and listen to others,

even the dull and the ignorant;

they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,

they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,

you may become vain and bitter;

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;

it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs;

for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

many persons strive for high ideals;

and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.

Especially, do not feign affection.

Neither be cynical about love;

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment

it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,

be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,

no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,

whatever you conceive Him to be,

and whatever your labors and aspirations,

in the noisy confusion of life

keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,

it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

Each new day is a blank page in the diary of your life. The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story you possibly can
Thanks dear Shelley for this last quote♥

If you Look for Me At Christmas

If you look for me at Christmas
you won't need a special star
I'm no longer just in Bethelehem
I'm right there where you are
You may not be aware of me
amid the celebrations
You will have to look beyond the stores
and all the deocorations
But if you take a moment
from your list of things to do
And listen to your heart you will find I am waiting there for you.
You are the one I want to be with
You're teh reason that I came
And you will find me in the stillness
as I am whispering your name.

Love Jesus

Bless us all

Life is full of sweet surpises
Everyday's a gift
The sun comes up and i can feel it lift my spirit
Fills me up with laughter, fills me up with song
I look into the eyes of love and know that i belong

Bless us all, who gather here
The loving family i hold dear
No place on earth, compares with home
And every path will bring me back from where i rome
Bless us all, that as we live
We always comfort and forgive
We have so much, that we can share
With those in need we see around us everywhere

Let us always love eachother
Lead us to the light
Let us hear the voice of reason, singing in the night
Let us run from anger and catch us when we fall
Teach us in our dreams and please, yes please
Bless us one and all

Bless us all with playful years
With noisy games and joyful tears
We reach for you and we stand tall
And in our prayers and dreams
We ask you bless us all

We reach for you and we stand tall
And in our prayers and dreams we ask you
Bless us all

It matters not who you love

Where you love, why you love

When you love, or How you love

It matters only that you love

An Old Christmas Poem

One of the Christmas trees at the Nursing home where my precious Grandmother resides.

There are silver sparkling fairies all over this tree.

A Dear Little Schemer
There was a little daughter, once, whose feet were - oh, so small! That when the Christmas Eve came 'round, they wouldn't do at all. At least she said they wouldn't do, and so she tried another's, and folding her wee stocking up, she slyly took her mother's. "I'll pin this big one here," she said - then sat before the fire, Watching the supple, dancing flames and shadows darting by her, Till silently she drifted off to that queer land, you know, Of nowhere in particular, where sleepy children go. She never knew the tumult rare that came upon the roof! She never heard the patter of a single reindeer hoof; She never knew how Some One came and looked his shrewd surprise At her wee foot and the stocking - so different in size! She only knew, when morning dawned, that she was safe in bed, "It's Christmas - ah!" - and merrily she raised her pretty head; Then, with wild glee, she saw what "dear Old Santa Claus" had done, And ran to tell the joyful news to each and every one! "Mama! Papa! Please come and look! a lovely doll, and all!" And "See how full the stocking is? Mine would have been too small!" I borrowed this for Santa Claus. It isn't fair, you know, To make him wait forever for a little girl to grow."

Happy Birthday to my dear Sister Debbie

Happy Birthday to my dear Sister Debbie♥
I love you baby Sister
May Heaven smile and hear your every wish
I love you ♥

Christmas is not a time or a season but a state of mind. To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. If we think on these things, there will be born in us a Savior and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world. ~Calvin Coolidge, Presidential message December25, 1927

"It might be easy to run away to a monastery, away from the commercialization, the hectic hustle, the demanding family responsibilities of Christmas-time. Then we would have a holy Christmas. But we would forget the lesson of the Incarnation, of the enfleshing of God—the lesson that we who are followers of Jesus do not run from the secular; rather we try to transform it. It is our mission to make holy the secular aspects of Christmas just as the early Christians baptized the Christmas tree. And we do this by being holy people—kind, patient, generous, loving, laughing people—no matter how maddening is the Christmas rush…"

And the children were nestled all snug in their beds while visisions of sugar plums danced in their heads

I love all the art work of Trisha Romance
This is one of my most favorites.

The Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I believe with my heart not with gifts..Merry CHRISTmas.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day their old familiar carols play, and wild and sweet,
the words repeat, of peace on earth, good-will to men♥

Interview with God

Interview with God

I dreamed I had an interview with God.
"So, you would like to interview me?" God asked.
"If you have the time," I said.
God smiled. "My time is eternity; what questions do
you have in mind to ask

"What surprises you most about humankind?"
God answered: "That they get bored with childhood --
they rush to grow up
and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money and then
lose their money to
restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they
forget the present,
such that they live neither the present nor the
That they live as if they will never die, and they die
as if they had never

God's hands took mine and we were silent for while and
then I asked...
"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want
your children to

God replied with a smile: "To learn that they cannot
make anyone love
them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved.
To learn that what is most valuable is not what they
have in their
lives, but who they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to
To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the
most, but is one
who needs the least.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open
profound wounds in
persons one loves, and that it may take many years to
heal them.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that there are persons who love them dearly,
but simply do not
know how to express or show their feelings.

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing
and see it very

To learn that it is not always enough that they be
forgiven by others,
but that they must also forgive themselves.

And to learn that I am here -- always."

"Come in," God said.

"So, you would like to interview Me?"

"If you have the time," I said.

God smiled and said:

"My time is eternity and is enough to do everything;

what questions do you have in mind to ask me?"

"What surprises you most about mankind?"

God answered:

"That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up,

and then long to be children again.

That they lose their health to make money

and then lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present,

such that they live neither for the present nor the future.

That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived ..."

God's hands took mine and we were silent for a while and then I asked . . .

"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

God replied with a smile:

"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them.

What they can do is to let themselves be loved.

To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives,

but who they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.

All will be judged individually on their own merits,

not as a group on a comparison basis!

To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most,

but is one who needs the least.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.

To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.

To learn that there are persons that love them dearly,

but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally different.

To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them . . .

and likes them anyway.

To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others,

but that they have to forgive themselves."

I sat there for awhile enjoying the moment.

I thanked Him for his time and for all that He has done for me and my family,

and He replied,

"Anytime. I'm here 24 hours a day.

All you have to do is ask for me, and I'll answer."

People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did,

but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Interview with God always has been one of my most favorites

No Room at the Inn

Our Priest read this to us last night at mass
I'd like to share it with you

No Room at the Inn

As we all know, there was no place at the inn for Joseph and his pregnant wife, and the baby Jesus was born in a manger. "And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room at the inn." (Luke 2:7)

But have you heard the story of the Christmas pageant at New York City’s Riverside Church? A little boy named Tim was thrilled to be in the pageant. Because he had Down’s syndrome, he was given the role of innkeeper because it had just one line; “There is no room at the inn.” Tim practiced and practiced but after delivering his line and watching Joseph turn despondently to walk away, Tim yelled “Wait. You can stay at my house.” The Pastor of Riverside Church called it the best sermon he never preached.

There was no room at the inn, so Mary and Joseph found shelter where they could. Two thousand years later, the homeless of Massachusetts are having to do the same. There are more than 1,000 families with more than 1,500 children living in crowded hotel rooms without cooking facilities. The family shelters are all full.

After hearing the story of Tim and the Riverside Church pageant, Marian Wright Edelman from the Children’s Defense Fund stated: When will we as communities, and as a nation resolve to stop saying to our children, "There's no room at the inn"? When will we, like Tim, start saying, "You can stay at my house"? When will we say to poor, hungry and homeless children, "Wait! We'll make a place for you at America's table of plenty"? How long until we say to children whose parents are working hard every day trying to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads, "We will help you escape poverty"? "We'll catch you in our safety net until your family is able to provide for you again"?

Someone has well said: The message of Easter is "Think of Heaven." The message of July Fourth is "Think of our Nation." The message of Thanksgiving is "Think of your blessings." The message of New Year's Day is "Think of the passing of time.'' But the message of Christmas is "Think of others."

So as we celebrate the seasons of Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, and Kwanzaa, we must reaffirm our commitment to building a world where all find room at the Inn

One Solitary Life

e was born in an obscure village,
The child of a peasant woman.
He grew up in still another village,
Where he worked in a carpenter shop
Until he was thirty.

Then for three years
He was an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He never had a family or owned a house.
He didn't go to college.
He never visited a big city.
He never traveled two hundred miles
From the place where he was born.
He did none of the things
One usually associates with greatness.
He had no credentials but himself.

He was only thirty-three
When the tide of public opinion turned against him.
His friends ran away.
He was turned over to his enemies.
And went through the mockery of a trial.

He was nailed to a cross
Between two thieves.
While he was dying,
His executioners gambled for his clothing,
The only property he had on Earth.
When he was dead,
He was laid in a borrowed grave
Through the pity of a friend.

Twenty centuries have come and gone,
And today he is the central figure
Of the human race,
And the leader of mankind's progress.

All the armies that ever marched,
All the navies that ever sailed,
All the parliament that ever sat,
All the kings that ever reigned,
Put together have not affected
The life of man on Earth
As much as that

One olitary life.

My most beautiful and precious late beloved Mother and me from a Christmas past.

It's not what you do in life or where you go
it is who you have beside you♥

I think of thee when soft and wide
The evening spreads her robes
of light.
And like a young and timid bride
Sits blushing in the arms of night.
And when the moon's sweet
crescent springs
It's light o'er heaven's deep
waveless sea,
And stars are forth like
blessed things,
I think of thee! I think of thee!

The Dragonfly Story

Down below the surface of a quiet pond lived a little colony of water bugs. They were a happy colony, living far away from the sun. For many months they were very busy, scurrying over the soft mud on the bottom of the pond. They did notice that every once in awhile one of their colony seemed to lose interest in going about. Clinging to the stem of a pond lily it gradually moved out of sight and was seen no more.

"Look!" said one of the water bugs to another. "one of our colony is climbing up the lily stalk. Where do you think she is going?" Up, up, up it slowly went....Even as they watched, the water bug disappeared from sight. Its friends waited and waited but it didn't return...

"That's funny!" said one water bug to another. "Wasn't she happy here?" asked a second... "Where do you suppose she went?" wondered a third.

No one had an answer. They were greatly puzzled. Finally one of the water bugs, a leader in the colony, gathered its friends together. "I have an idea". "The next one of us who climbs up the lily stalk must promise to come back and tell us where he or she went and why."

"We promise", they said solemnly.

One spring day, not long after, the very water bug who had suggested the plan found himself climbing up the lily stalk. Up, up, up, he went. Before he knew what was happening, he had broke through the surface of the water and fallen onto the broad, green lily pad above.

When he awoke, he looked about with surprise. He couldn't believe what he saw. A startling change had come to his old body. His movement revealed four silver wings and a long tail. Even as he struggled, he felt an impulse to move his wings...The warmth of the sun soon dried the moisture from the new body. He moved his wings again and suddenly found himself up above the water. He had become a dragonfly!!

Swooping and dipping in great curves, he flew through the air. He felt exhilarated in the new atmosphere. By and by the new dragonfly lighted happily on a lily pad to rest. Then it was that he chanced to look below to the bottom of the pond. Why, he was right above his old friends, the water bugs! There they were scurrying around, just as he had been doing some time before.

The dragonfly remembered the promise: "the next one of us who climbs up the lily stalk will come back and tell where he or she went and why." Without thinking, the dragonfly darted down. Suddenly he hit the surface of the water and bounced away. Now that he was a dragonfly, he could no longer go into the water...

"I can't return!" he said in dismay. "At least, I tried. But I can't keep my promise. Even if I could go back, not one of the water bugs would know me in my new body. I guess I'll just have to wait until they become dragonflies too. Then they'll understand what has happened to me, and where I went."

And the dragonfly winged off happily into its wonderful new world of sun and air.......

Thank you God, for the story of the water bugs and the dragonflies.

Please remember________who left the pond we live in...and remember me...

The Night Before Christmas

by Clement Clarke Moore
or Henry Livingston

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!

On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,

So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,

With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;

He had a broad face and a little round belly,

That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

2011 will be the year of the rabbit it should be a very lucky year for us all

A Christmas Prayer

My Grandmothers ledge beside her bed all decorated for Christmas
My cousins Kerrie and Kim bought her the little silver tree and she loves it
Grandma said it reminds her of the silver tree my beatufiful Mother bought one year.

You decide every moment of every day who you are and what you believe in
You get a second chance every single second of every day♥

Christmas Prayer
by Robert Louis Stevenson

Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate
and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning
make us happy to be thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds
with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven,
for Jesus' sake.

Thanks for posting this.

It is so very lovely indeed

"Joy is the true gift of Christmas, not the expensive gifts that call for time and money. We can communicate this joy simply: with a smile, a kind gesture, a little help, forgiveness. And the joy we give will certainly come back to us.…Let us pray that this presence of the liberating joy of God shines forth in our lives." B16

For unto us a Child is born." This beautiful phrase, and the entire verse that goes with it, has been indelibly etched into the world's consciousness at Christmas time by the powerful chorus devoted to it in Handel's Messiah: "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."

The Charlie Schulz Philosphy

The Charlie Schulz Philosophy
This is marvellous!!

......Scroll thru slowly and read carefully to receive and enjoy full effect)

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.

Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

4 Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.

These are no second-rate achievers.

They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies..

Awards tarnish..

Achievements are forgotten.

Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most credentials, the most money...or the most awards.

They simply are the ones who care the most.

'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It’s already tomorrow Somewhere else in the world'.

Five Balls Of Life
This was written by the CEO of Coca-Cola Brian G. Dyson.

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air.

You name them - Work - Family - Health - Friends - Spirit, and you're keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls -- family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How?

1. Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

2. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

3. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

4. Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.
5. Don't give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

6. Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us together.

7. Don't be afraid to encounter risks It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

8. Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

9. Don't run through life so fast that you forget not only where you've been, but also where you are going.

10. Don't forget that a person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

11. Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.

12. Don't use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

Snowman Walking in the Air

None of us has solid ground under his feet; each of us is only held up by the neighborly hands grasping him by the scruff, with the result that we are each held up by the next man, and often, indeed most of the time, hold each other up mutually.

“It has been my experience that whenever one human being reaches out to another in compassion, a bridge is built. A bridge which leads out of despair, into the light of hope and the possibility that tomorrow will hold a few less tears than yesterday” ~Dr. Maithri Goonetilleke

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh!" he whispered. "Yes, Piglet?" "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you."

Remember that your natural state is joy. You are a product of joy and love; it's natural for you to experience these feelings. You've come to believe that feeling bad, anxious, or even depressed is natural...Remind yourself as frequently as necessary: I come from peace and joy. I must stay in harmony with that from which I came in order to fulfill my dreams and desires." - Dr. Wayne Dyer

My Son and his beautiful Bride on their wedding day in Seoul

Blessing of the Hands by Victor Hugo

“These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.”
