Gardens

From my fabulous cousin Brenda who lives in Michigan she picked up 2 two tomato varieties to plant in her garden
How wonderful.

From Brenda:

I picked up some interesting tomato plants, one is from russia its called a black russian tomato,
it matures in 69-78 days, and its color is a brownish red with a sweet spicy taste! The next is a Brandywine heirloom amish tomato and its seeds date back to 1885 from Brandywine Creek Pennsylvania! Timeless treasures from gardens past:)

Hot German Potato Salad

From my dear friend Marilyn

1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled

1/2 cup chopped onions

1/2 cup celery, diced

1/4 cup bacon grease

3 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon corn starch

1/3 cup vinegar

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon celery seed

Fry celery and onion in bacon grease, add rest of ingredients. Mix corn starch with water and add to other ingredients, stir until it thickens slightly.

Add 5 medium potatoes that have been boiled and diced. Serve warm.

Kiss the cook often and season everything with loveā™„

In my garden are many fresh herbs,
Sweet hungarian peppers
Slicer Asian tomatoes
Pak Choy Asian lettuce and a million flowers,
bird baths,
hummingbird feeders,
hanging baskets
buterflies
lots of candles
gazing balls
and lots of love and sunshine
and tender loving care
How about yours?
