Happy Chusok Ahram and Family and all the fabulous people celebrating
Korean Harvest Moon Festival a tradition over 2,000 years old.
It is now also sometimes referred to as "Korean Thanksgiving" as it is a traditional
time for Koreans to thank their ancestors for the year's harvest.
It is a 3 day celebraton that falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month,
Chusok is the most popular Korean holiday. It is a time of high travel and extreme traffic as people journey to visit their famiilies of origin or the graves of their ancestors. It is also a gift giving holiday for friends, employers, co-workers, exhcange gifts of food, alchohol, fruit and not perishibale items.
