Today my husband returns home

Our home is never a home with my loved ones not in it.
I love it when all I love are in our home.
That to me is a slice of Heaven.

No matter if it is for a day or a few days I always miss my husband so very much when he is away on business. I miss my son everyday as well.

I will be so happy to welcome him home today, my husband.

I always wear one of his shirts while he is away and straighten up all his little areas of our home........

Nesting and feeling his love.

I will go and visit precious ones tonight before my husband returns

It will be a perfect day.

It has been cooler out with winds and coll breezes.

Nature is Divine

The baby robin sitting in our tree branch
this week
I still have the robins nest with the four eggs
on our porch
I shall treasure that always.

I am spending much time outdoors enjoying the Spring........

It is fast and fleeting and I want to capture every essence of it.

Baby Canada Geese are walking all about here and so protected by their parents.

A baby robin was in my tree this week watching me ever so sweetly.

Can life be more blissful?

When for too long I don't go deep enough into the woods to see them,

the begin to enter my dreams. Yes, there they are, in the pinewoods of my inner life.

I want to live a life full of modesty and praise. Each hoof of each animal makes the sign

of a heart as it touches then lifts away from the ground. Unless you believe that Heaven

is very near, how will you find it? Their eyes are pools in which one would be content

on any summer afternoon, to swim away through the door of the world.

Then love and its blessing. then Heaven

For my dear friend Connie Hale

My deepest sympathy for my dear friend Pastor Connie Hale
who lost her husband today after his long and courageous battle with cancer.

Beautiful

My love and prayers for you and your family.

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”

Though nothing can bring back the hour

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be.........

Splendor in the Grass
William Wordsworth 1770-1850

Inspiration

My friend Jen Gray has some thoughts on grief and death today in her blog

Words

Those who live forever in our hearts are never far away.

The Mansions of Heaven

This world, however beautiful, was never meant to be
The place that we would call our home for all eternity.
And though we would not choose to leave, a loving God knows best,
And in His time, He lifts us to a place of peace and rest.

For He has built a mansion where His children will abide,
Free from pain and sorrow, forever at His side.
He said He'd never leave us to face our trials alone,
And though sometimes we fail Him, He never fails His own.

And even when our choices are less than He would ask,
He knows when human courage is unequal to the task.
We cannot judge what happens, though tears and questions start.
We only see what's visible--God sees into the heart.

And though there may be many things that we cannot explain,
We can be sure it breaks His heart to see His children's pain.
In loving arms, He bears us to a quiet place apart
Where He mends the wounded spirit and heals the broken heart.

And though these ones we love so much have left our present sight
And passed into a better world of majesty and light
Someday we'll be together in our Father's house above,
Where we'll thank Him for His mercy and praise Him for His love.

May He ease your hour of sorrow and surround you with His love,
And may it bring you strength to know Our Father's house above
Is a house of many mansions where His Son has set aside
Special places near Him for His loved ones to abide.

Love builds the nicest nest

This is a real robins nest with real eggs.
The nest was found in a wheel well of a huge transport truck
delivering the plants
My friend at the garden center gave this to me.
I don't think the eggs will hatch as I believe it is too late
but it is amazing to me how nature is so divine
That nest is made so lovingly and intricately.
I am sad 4 little robins never made it to this life
but I will cherish it as sacred.
This is my third bird nest at home

From the book The Next Place

The Next Place by Warren Hanson

The next place that I go
will be as peaceful and familiar
as a sleepy summer Sunday
and a sweet, untroubled mind.

And yet….it won’t be anything like any place I’ve ever been…
or seen…or dreamed of
in the place I leave behind.

I won’t know where I’m going,
and I won’t know where I’ve been
as I tumble through the always
and look back toward the when.

I’ll glide beyond the rainbows.
I’ll drift above the sky.
I’ll fly into the wonder,
without ever wondering why.

I won’t remember getting there.
Somehow I’ll just arrive.
But I’ll know that I belong there
and will feel much more alive
than I have ever felt before.
I will be absolutely free of the things that I held onto
that were holding onto me.

The next place that I go
will be so quiet and so still
that the whispered song of sweet belonging will rise up to fill
the listening sky with joyful silence, and with unheard harmonies
of music made by no one playing,
like a hush upon a breeze.

There will be no room for darkness in that place of living light.
Where an ever-dawning morning pushes back the dying night.
The very air will fill with brilliance, as the brightly shining sun
and the moon and half a million stars are married into one.

The next place that I go
Won’t really be a place at all.
There won’t be any seasons—winter, summer, spring or fall—
Nor a Monday,
Nor a Friday,
Nor December,
Nor July.
And the seconds will be standing still…
while the hours hurry by.

I will not be a boy
or girl,
a woman
or a man.
I’ll simply be just,
simply me.
No worse or better than.

My skin will not be dark or light.
I won’t be fat or tall.
The body I once lived in
won’t be part of me at all.

I will finally be perfect.
I will be without a flaw.
I will never make one more mistake,
or break the smallest law.

And the me that was impatient,
or was angry or unkind,
will simply be a memory.
The me I left behind.

I will travel empty-handed.
There is not one single thing
I have collected in my life
that I would ever want to bring
except….
The love of those who loved me,
and the warmth of those who cared.
The happiness and memories
and magic that we shared.

Though I will know the joy of solitude…
I’ll never be alone.
I’ll be embraced
by all the family and friends
I’ve ever known.
Although I might not see their faces,
all our hearts will beat as one,
and the circle of our spirits
Will shine brighter than the sun.

Happy Mother's Day

On a Spring walk through the park with fabulous friends
With our backs to the woes of the world
what a fabulous way to spend a spring day

Photographs taken by our dear friend Nia and her fabulous Husband Chris

at Jackson Park this week.
Just in time to show my loved ones for Mother's Day

(link below to their fabulous photography site)
Love you Nia and thanks to you and your family
for your kindness and your love

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?'
God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.'
God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?'
God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.' 'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?'
God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?'
God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'
'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.'
God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'
God said, 'You will simply call her,
'Mom.'

A Mother Is.........

I love you my Son I am so proud to be your Mother

Thank you both for loving me so well

Justin I am so proud to be your Mother
I love you so very much

Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in the time to come.
She opens her mouth with
wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
She watches over the
ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her
blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:

Hibiscus in Bloom for Mother's Day

Our beautiful Ahram reminded me of one of my favorite quotes about Motherhood
it has always been one of my favorites............

A Mother is the truest friend we have.
When trials, heavy and sudden fall upon us;
when adversity takes the place of prosperity;
when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine
desert us when troubles thicken around us,
still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind
precepts and counsels to dissipate
the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~Washington Irving

I am so proud to be Justin's Mother.
My greatest joy in life.

I was truly blessed with the most wonderful Mother as well.
I cherish and adore her in Heaven as I did on earth.

Happy Mother's Day everyone

And special thanks to everyone who loves me so well.
including my Husband Paul
and all my loved ones and friends and family

Very touching words from my dear friend Chel
I love you
Happy Mother's Day too

Dear Jeanne:

This quote made me think of you, because this is EXACTLY the kind of
person you are.

Happy Mother's Day!

Much love,
Chel

"Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots, Kind words are
the flowers, Kind deeds are the fruits, Take care of your garden And
keep out the weeds, Fill it with sunshine, Kind words, and Kind
deeds."

The Whale

The Whale

If you read the front page story of the San
Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a crazy spider web of crab traps and lines.

She was weighed down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, and a line tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farralone Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her . . . a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.

They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was finally free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed gently around-she thanked them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.

The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be them same.

Have a Happy Mother's Day everyone

Embrace your bliss
it is the key to happiness

True compassion is not just an emotional response, but a firm commitment founded on reason. Therefore, a truly compassionate attitude toward others does not change, even if they behave negatively. Through universal altruism, you develop a feeling of responsibility for others: the wish to help them actively overcome their problems.

Beloved Mother

Today would have been my precious Mother's birthday
She is loved and adored in Heaven as she was on Earth
More precious than gold
Every memory of you
I love you Mom
I miss you more than words could ever say.

Nothing dies that lives in our hearts. Death has no power over love, the memories may fade and although "the known qualities of expressed love are gone" you will find,
in time all the expression of love yet to be born of your grief.

The Journey Of A Mother
The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them, and taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike and reminded them to feed the dog, and do their homework and brush their teeth. The sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this.
Then the nights came, and the storms, and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms, and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."
And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, "A little patience and we are there." So the children climbed, and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms.
And with this, she gave them strength to face the world. Year after year, she showed them compassion, understanding, hope, but most of all...unconditional love.

And when they reached the top they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you." The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years, and the mother grew old and she became little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage. And the other, when she lay down at night, looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned so much and are now passing these traits on to their children."
And when the way became rough for her, they lifted her, and gave her their strength, just as she had given them hers. One day they came to a hill, and beyond the hill, they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And mother said: "I have reached the end of my journey.
And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk with dignity and pride, with their heads held high, and so can their children after them."
And the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her.

And they said: "We cannot see her, but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence."

Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore, she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day.
She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. A mother shows every emotion happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow... and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life.
She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, not space... Not even death!

Happy

The front of our house Spring 2009

For my Friend Michael Docherty

Keep a green tree in your heart
and perhaps a singing bird will come

For my friend Michael Docherty

My friend Michael Docherty is running in the Team Diabetes Athens Event
November 8, 2009 to raise money for Diabetes.........
I believe he has to raise $2,500 for this event.
I am so proud of all the people in Windsor who do so much to benefit others, and Michael is one to follow the same.............
If you so wish to sponsor him you can do so via the Canadian Diabetes website
or you may visit him at the Lakeshore Starbucks where he works a few days a week as he is also a student.
He can give you the information if you see him there.
Thanks for passing the word along for my friend.
The greatest gift is people helping people and when we do it is surely a slice of Heaven right here on Earth.

Happy Monday

Thank you lovely one

May 1st is the Labor Day in Korea..
Most workers have a day off, but most teachers and students don't get a day off.. i don't know why, tho...
However, i got a day off.. how lucky I am! hehe..

Also, May 5th is the 'Children's Day' which is the national holiday.. It's on Tuesday this year, so Monday is a "Sandwich day" ( between Sunday and Holiday, ^^ => we called it "sandwich day").. go to school or no school depends on the principals, and my great principal announced 'No school' on Monday.. YAY!!!!
that's why i got a long weekend.. i'm pretty excited about that.. ;D

May is one of my favorite month.. I like February, May, and December.. ;P
i don't know about Canada, but we called May a 'Family Month'.. because there are Children's Day(5th), Parents' Day(8th) and Teacher's Day(15th) in May ..
only the Children's Day is a holiday, tho.. ;)

We don't have either the Mother's Day and the Father's Day, we only have the 'Parents' Day'.. this is one of different things from yours..

Thank you Ahram for everything
Love you
