An Angel says,
Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus ..'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

The Butterfly and the Flower
Once there was a man who asked God for a flower.... ....and a butterfly.
But instead God gave him a cactus.... ....and a caterpillar.
The man was sad, he didn’t understand why his request was mistaken
Then he thought:
Oh well, God has too many people to care for... and decided not to question.
After some time, the man went to check up on his request that he had left forgotten
To his surprise, from the thorny & ugly cactus a beautiful flower had grown
And the unsightly carterpillar had been transformed into the most beautiful butterfly.
GOD always does things right!
His way is ALWAYS the best way, even if to us it seems all wrong.
If you asked God for one thing and received another, TRUST.
You can be sure that He will always give you what you need at the appropriate time.
What you want.......is not always what you need!
God never fails to grant our petitions, so keep on going for Him without doubting or murmuring.
Today’s THORN...
Is tomorrow’s FLOWER!
GOD GIVES THE VERY BEST TO THOSE WHO LEAVE THE CHOICES UP TO HIM!

| “Our family is a circle of love and strength. With every birth and every union, the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love. Every obstacle faced together makes the circle stronger.” A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.' The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you wil l feel your angel's love and be very happy.' Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.' 'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.' 'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.' 'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.' At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel' s name.' God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.' Lift a mother's spirit, send this to every mother you know (no matter how old her child is) |

My beloved Mother on a birthday
She loved her lilacs, flowers and all pretty things
Eternally loved in Heaven and cherished
I miss you more than words could ever say~
The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked.
And God answered her "Yes, this way is hard, and you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them, taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike, and reminded them to feed the dog and do their homework and brush their teeth. The sun shone on them and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."
Then the nights came, and the storms and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."
And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, a little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms. And with this, she gave them strength to face the world.
Year after year she showed them compassion, understanding, and hopes, but most of all...unconditional love.
And when they reached the top they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you."
The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years, and the mother grew old and she became little and bent. But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage. And the mother, when she lay down at night, looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned so much and are now passing these traits on to their children."
And when the way became rough for her, they lifted her, and gave her their strength, just as she had given them hers. One day they came to a hill, and beyond the hill they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide.
And Mother said: "I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk with dignity and pride, with their heads held high, and so can their children after them."
And the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her.
And they said: "We cannot see her, but she is with us still. A
Mother is more than a memory. She is a living presence. Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore, she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winters day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is your birthday morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter and she's crystallized in every tear drop.
A mother shows every emotion...happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrows - all the while hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life.
She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you.

This resplendently pretty-in-pink salad is both beautiful and delicious – and it’s so easy to make you can whip it up in minutes. Just be certain to use the saltiest of feta cheeses or it won’t be enough of a contrary taste to the sticky sweet melon.
ingredients:
| ¼ seedless watermelon, diced (about 4 cups) | |
| 1 cup salty feta cheese, broken into teaspoon-sized lumps | |
| ¼ cup chopped fresh flat leaf parsley | |
| excellent quality extra virgin olive oil – to drizzle on top | |
| salt and pepper to taste |
directions:
1. Toss watermelon, feta and half of parsley on a platter or in a wide fairly flat serving bowl. Top with remaining parsley, oil and salt and pepper. Serve on watermelon “plates” or eat with your fingers, right from the serving dish.
after-thoughts:
Do NOT serve this salad at room temperature. The feta goes soggy, the watermelon goes a horrible texture and everything tastes quite bland. I know that you are not supposed to be able to taste things that are cold but this salad does not taste good warm. Serve cool...trust me.
recipe origin: Based on both Christine Cushing and Nigella Lawson's recipes
When the good Lord was creating mothers, he was into his sixth day of overtime, when an angel appeared and said, "You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one."
And the Lord said, "Have you read the spec on this one? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic; have 180 moveable parts, all replaceable;run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that disappears when she stands up, a kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair, and six pair of hands.
"The angel shook her head slowly and said,"Six pairs of hands...no way."
"It's not the hands that are causing me problems," said the Lord."It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have."
"That's on the standard model?" asked the angel.
The Lord nodded. "One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, "What are you kids doing in there?" when she already knows. Another here, in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn't, but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say, "I understand and I love you," without so much as uttering a word."
"Lord,"said the angel, touching his sleeve gently, "Rest for now. Tomorrow..."
"I can't," said the Lord. "I'm so close to creating something close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick, can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand under a shower.
"The angel circled the model of the mother very slowly."She's too soft," she sighed.
"But tough!" said the Lord excitedly. "You cannot imagine what the mother can do or endure."
"Can she think?"
"Not only think, but she can reason and compromise,"said the Creator. Finally the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek.
"There's a leak," she pronounced. "I told you, you were trying to put too much into this model."
"It's not a leak," said the Lord. "It's a tear."
"What's it for?"
"It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness and pride."
"You're a genius," said the angel. The Lord looked somber, "I didn't put it there."

Well if you ever want an endless night
And you need the moon and stars to shine
Just hold out your heart my darling
Hold out your heart my darling
Hold out your heart
And I will give you all of mine
From the Song Hold out your Heart
by Carly Simon
and of course I was lucky enough to inherit 3 beautiful people into my life
when I married Paul
his children............
Justin, Kim and Drew on a mountain top in Seoul
We are a blended family
Our family is about
remembering what matters,
letting go of what doesn't
laughing, loving,
and knowing life is good
because we have each other~
I wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day
It is my greatest joy in life~
I am proud to be a Mother and wife
and to me it all begins and ends with family~

Life is too short to wake up with regrets ...
Love the people who treat you right ...
Forget about the ones who don't ....
Believe everything happens for a reason ....
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands ...
If it changes your life, let it ...
Nobody said life would be easy ...
They just promised it would be worth it.
I am going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

Two Horses
Just up the road from
my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop
your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite
amazing....
Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose
that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down,
but has made a good home for him.
This alone is amazing.
If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see
that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.
Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where
the other horse is, so he can follow.
As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see
that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse,
and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk
to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.
When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the
barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure
that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses, God
does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we
have problems or challenges.
He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.
Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little
ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. ?Other times
we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....
Good friends are like that .. You may not always see them, but
you know they are always there.
Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.
And remember...
Be kinder than necessary------Everyone you
meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly....
Leave the rest to
God
