If you're happy and you know it clap your hands

Photo I took yesterday morning!

"People universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend
upon you like fine weather if you're fortunate enough.
But that's not how happiness works.
Happiness is the consequence of personal effort.
You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it.
You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it, you must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it. If you don't, you will leak away your innate contentment. It's easy enough to pray when you're in distress but continuing to pray even when your crisis has passed is like a sealing process, helping your soul hold tight to its good attainments."

How many of us go through our days parched and empty,
thirsting after happiness,

Those who are blessed with love
are blessed with the greatest gift of all.
Love you all so very much!

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.

For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.

But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?

And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him.

Dirt Roads by Paul Harvey

What's mainly wrong with society today

is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved.

There's not a problem in America today,

crime, drugs, education, divorce,

delinquency that wouldn't be remedied,

if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character.

People that live at the end of Dirt Roads

learn early on that life is a bumpy ride.

That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes,

but it's worth it, if at the end is home..

a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog.

We wouldn't have near the

trouble with our educational system if our

kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids,

from whom they learn how to get along.

There was less crime in our streets before they were paved.

Criminals didn't walk two dusty

miles to rob or rape, if they knew

they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun.

And there were no drive by shootings.

Our values were better when our roads were worse!

People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous, they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust & bust your windshield with rocks.

Dirt Roads taught patience.

Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly, you didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk you walked to the barn for your milk.

For your mail, you walked to the mail box.

What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part, then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony rode on Daddy's shoulders and learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody.

At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap.

Most paved roads lead to trouble, Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole.

At the end of a Dirt Road, the only time we even locked our car was in August, because if we didn't some neighbor would fill it with too much zucchini.

At the end of a Dirt Road, there was always extra springtime income, from when city dudes would get stuck, you'd have to hitch up a team and pull them out.

Usually you got a dollar...always you got a new friend...at the end of a Dirt Road!

"The great Western disease is, 'I'll be happy when. . . . When I get the money. When I get a BMW. When I get this job. Well, the reality is, you never get to when. The only way to find happiness is to understand that happiness is not out there. It's in here. And happiness is not next week. It's now."

"If there is, indeed, a place where heaven and earth meet, it is in the pages of Denise Roy's book, My Monastery Is a Minivan. Denise highlights the magic in seemingly ordinary events and reminds us to pay attention to the sacred lessons contained within them. SINGING YOUR SONG

When a woman in a certain African tribe knows she is pregnant, she goes out into the wilderness with a few friends and together they sing, chant, and meditate until they hear the song of the child. They recognize that every soul has its own vibration that expresses its unique flavor and purpose. When the women attune to the song, they sing it out loud. Then they return to the tribe and teach it to everyone else.

When the child is born, the community gathers and sings their song, one unique melody for each unique child. Later, when the child enters education, the village gathers and chants the child's song. When the child passes through the initiation to adulthood, the people again come together and sing. At the time of marriage, the person again hears yos song.

Finally, when the soul is about to pass from this world, the family and friends gather at the person's bed, just as they did at their birth, and they sing yos song as a part of "being with" yon at the very end.

In this African tribe, there is one other occasion when it is customary for the villagers to gather and sing a person's song to yon. If at any time during yos life, the person commits a crime or aberrant social act, the individual is called to the center of the village and the people in the community form a circle around yon. Then they sing yos song.

The tribe recognizes that the best correction for problematic behavior is often not punishment; it is love and the remembrance of identity. When you recognize your own song being sung by your own community, whatever threat to your self that may have motivated angry, destructive, or chaotic action is diminished; your identity is reaffirmed and your self regains its cohesiveness; you remember who you are and why you do not wish to cause hurt to members of your own tribe.

A friend is someone who knows your song and sings it to you when you have forgotten it. Those who love you are not fooled by mistakes you have made or dark images you hold about yourself. They remember your beauty when you feel ugly; your wholeness when you are broken; your innocence when you feel guilty; and your purpose when you are confused.

When you feel good, what you are doing matches your song; when you feel awful, it doesn't. You may not have grown up in an African tribe that sings your song to you at crucial life transitions. Yet, even the strongest self requires recognition and validation to remain strong and cohesive. One of the reasons to remember is to have a community that can help you remember when you are in tune with yourself and when you are not.

In the end, we shall all recognize our song and we shall sing it well........... Remember that no human is an island: at times, everyone needs help to remember your song..... and to sing it well. Just keep singing until we catch the tune and can sing along.

Don't worry! With a little help, you'll find your way home.

Soul Mate

Above my computer............
Pictures every one tells a story and hold magic
in my memories.............

Peace it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble
or hard work
it means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart!
~Author Unknown

Have a beautiful weekend full of peace, joy and love and lots of health!

This sounds like a good book!

From a Greeting Card

I thank you my glorious loved ones for all the joy and love you bring to my heart each and everyday!

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but to learn to dance in the rain.

For my beloved Husband Paul:
A soul mate is someone has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks.
When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely
and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are not for who we are pretending to be.
Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us,
with that one person we are safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is someone who shares our deepest
longings, our sense of direction. When we are two balloons, and together our direction is up,
chances are we have found the right person.
Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life.

In loving memory of Princess Abbey

Balloons sent up to Heaven today to honour our one year memorial
Of our beloved Princess Abbey in Heaven

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you
right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a
reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes
your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would
be worth it.

"Faith doesn't get you around problems,

it takes you through them..."

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go,
you can't get them back. So
I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

Lessons Of Love

A ninety-one year old woman died
after living a long dignified life.
When she met God, she asked him something
that had long bothered her.
If Man was created in God's image,
and if all men are created equal,
why do people treat each other so badly?
God replied that each person who
enters our life has a unique
lesson to teach us.
And it is only through these
lessons that we learn about life,
people, relationships and God.
This confused the woman, so God began to explain.
When someone lies to you, it
teaches you that things are not
always as they seem. The truth is often far
beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks
people wear if you want to know their heart.
And remove your own masks to let people know yours.
When someone steals from you,
it teaches you that nothing is forever.
Always appreciate what you have,
for you never know when you might lose it.
And never, ever take your friends
and family for granted because today
is the only guarantee you have.
When someone inflicts an injury upon you,
it teaches you that the human state is a fragile one.
Protect and take care of your body
as best you can, it's the only thing
you are sure to have forever.
When someone mocks you,
it teaches you that no two people are alike.
When you encounter people who are
different from you, don't judge
them by how they look or act;
instead base your opinion on the contents of their heart.
When someone breaks your heart,
it teaches you that loving someone
does not always mean that person
will love you back. But don't turn your back
on love because when you find the right person,
the joy that one person brings will
make up for all the past hurts put together.
Times ten. When someone holds a grudge against you,
it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes.
When you are wronged, the most virtuous
thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense.
Forgiving those who have hurt us is the most difficult,
the most courageous and the noblest thing man can do.
When a loved one is unfaithful to you,
it teaches you that resisting temptation
is man's greatest challenge.
Be vigilant in your resistance against
all temptation. By doing so you will be
rewarded with an enduring sense
of satisfaction far greater
than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted.
When someone cheats you,
it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil.
Aspire to make your dreams come true,
no matter how lofty they may be.
Do not feel guilty about your success,
but never let an obsession with achieving
your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities.
When someone ridicules you,
it teaches you that nobody is perfect.
Accept people for their merits and be
tolerant of their flaws.
Do not ever reject someone for
imperfections over which they have no control.
Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom,
the old woman became concerned
that there were no lessons to be learned
from man's good deeds.
God replied that man's capacity to love
is the greatest gift he has.
At the root of all kindness is love,
and each act of love also teaches us a lesson.
The woman's curiosity deepening,
God once again began to explain.
When someone loves us it teaches us that love,
kindness, charity, honesty,
humility, forgiveness and
acceptance can counteract all the evil in the world.
For every good deed, there is one less evil deed.
Man alone has the power to control
the balance between good and evil,
but because the lessons of love
are not taught often enough,
the power is too often abused.
When you enter someone's life,
whether by plan, chance or coincidence,
consider what your lesson will be.
Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality?
When you die, will your life
have resulted in more loving or hurting?
More comfort or pain?
More joy or sadness? Each one of
us has power over the balance
of love in the world. Use it wisely.

"Angels Are Friends"
Angels are all around me
Some I cannot see
Always near or by my side
Gently helping to be my guide.
When life's obstacles get in my way
Arms reach out to push them away.
As the tears roll down my face
An Angel is here with a warm embrace.
For the times I cannot endure
Rest at ease for I have a cure
The heavens above, so kindly sends,
No need for wings,
my "Angels Are Friends"

Please remember be not so busy making a living
that you are too busy to make a life:
A reminder for everyone in this frantic hectic disconnected world

Can I borrow $25?
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his
5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the
man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an
hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'
The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled. Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. Can I Borrow $25?

we unconsciously give other people permission
to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others!
Marianne Williamson

Be A Queen

Be a queen. Dare to be different.
Be a pioneer. Be a leader.
Be the kind of woman who in the face of adversity
will continue to embrace life and walk fearlessly
toward the challenge.
Take it on! Be a truth seeker and rule your domain,
whatever it is--your home, your office, your family
with a loving heart.
Be a queen. Be tender.
Continue to give birth to new ideas
and rejoice in your womanhood. . .
My prayer is that we will stop wasting time
being mundane and mediocre. . .
We are daughters of God--here to teach
the world how to love. . .
It doesn't matter what you've been through,
where you come from, who your parents are
--nor your social or economic status.
None of that matters.
What matters is how you choose to love,
how you choose to express that love through your work,
through your family,
through what you have to give to the world. . .
Be a queen.
Own your power and your glory!

OBSTACLES

It is a hard rule of life, and I believe a healthy one, that no great plan is ever carried out without meeting and overcoming endless obstacles that come up to try the skill of man’s hand, the quality of his courage, and the endurance of his faith.

If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire--then you got a problem. Everything else is inconvenience.

The Clothes Line

Sent to me by a dear family
member Marilyn!
Love you Sugar Plum!

BRINGS BACK MEMORIES many wonderful ones!
~
The clothesline....a dead give away.
Do the kids today even know what a clothesline is? For all of us that
are older, this will really bring back the memories.
~
THE BASIC RULES
..
1. You had to wash the clothes line before hanging any clothes.
Walk the length of each line with a damp cloth around the line.
..
2. You had to hang the clothes in a certain order and always hang whites
with whites and hang them first.
..
3. You never hung a shirt by the shoulders, always by the tail. What
would the neighbors think?
~
A clothesline was a news forecast
To neighbors passing by.
There were no secrets you could keep
When clothes were hung to dry.
~
It also was a friendly link
For neighbors always knew
If company had stopped on by
To spend a night or two.
~
For then you'd see the fancy sheets
And towels upon the line;
You'd see the company table cloths
With intricate design.
~
The line announced a baby's birth
To folks who lived inside
As brand new infant clothes were hung
So carefully with pride.
~
The ages of the children could
So readily be known
By watching how the sizes changed
You'd know how much they'd grown.
~
It also told when illness struck,
As extra sheets were hung;
Then nightclothes, and a bathrobe, too,
Haphazardly were strung.
~
It said, "Gone on vacation now"
When lines hung limp and bare.
It told, "We're back!" when full lines sagged
With not an inch to spare.
~
New folks in town were scorned upon
If wash was dingy gray,
As neighbors raised their brows,
And looked the other way..
~
But clotheslines now are of the past
For dryers make work less.
Now what goes on inside a home
Is anybody's guess.
~
I really miss that way of life.
It was a friendly sign
When neighbors knew each other best
By what hung out on the line!

There will never be an otter you

There will never be an otter you
I cannot get enough of this video.
What the world needs now is love sweet love!

Spread love~
Scatter Joy.
Happy Sunday everyone!

My dear friend Corey enchants me with all that she shares
especially this matchmaking weekend.

We are all born with a great need to be love and never, never, outgrow it!
I am truly blessed to call you my friend Dear Corey!
I love you!

How to Dance in the Rain

How To Dance In The Rain

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him.
I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.'

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life.'

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.'

Think Pink I Always do

Email sent to me by my dear friend Judy
I love you Judy
Thanks for sharing this with me!
7/5/2007-Calcasieu Lake south of Lake Charles, LA

Extremely Rare And Beautiful
Pink Dolphin Spotted

This extremely rare and beautiful pink dolphin was spotted and photographed by Capt. Erik Rue of Calcasieu Charter Service on June 24th, 2007 during a charter fishing trip on Calcasieu Lake south of Lake Charles, LA.

It appears to be an uncanny freak of nature, an albino dolphin, with reddish eyes and glossy pink skin. It is small in comparison to the others it is traveling with and appears to be a youngster traveling with mama. After spotting the beautiful mammal cruising with a pod of four other dolphins, Rue and his guests Randy and Peyton Smith and Greg and Sam Elias of Monroe, LA idled nearby while watching and photographing the unusual sight for more than an hour.

Thank you Post Card Fairies

Krinkles Birthday Queen I bought for my beloved Grandmother!

Thank you to all the special Post Card Fairies who via my dear friend Karen spread the joyful news about my Grandmother's 93rd birthday, January 9th, 2008, and she has been sent lovely cards from all around the world.

My beloved Grandmother and I cherish each one..........

Kindness is the special art of living with a loving heart!

I thank you

My Grandmother thanks you all.

It means so much to us both!

Love Jeanne

We all need to read this one over and over until it becomes part of who we are!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)

3. Keep learning : Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge. Dance around the house naked if that is what brings you joy!

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry or hurt. You might not get a second time.

Lost time can never be found.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

I don't know what the future holds; but I do know who holds the future.

things in my life.....let me do small things with great love.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Your Mother Remembered *Most Beautiful Piece*

Darling Mother you are cherished and adored in Heaven
as you were on Earth!
Those who live forever in our hearts are never far away!

YOUR MOTHER REMEMBERED

This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece. Please
read this at a slow pace, digesting every word and in
leisure...do not hurry....this is a treasure...

For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom,
this is beautiful. For those of us who aren't, this is
even more beautiful. For those who are moms, you'll love this.

The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is
this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said: "Yes, and the way is hard.
And you will be old before you reach the end of it.. But
the end will be better than the beginning."

But the young mother was happy, and she would not
believe that anything could be better than these years. So she
played with her children, and gathered flowers for
them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and
the sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried,
"Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."

Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was
dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother
drew them close and covered them with her mantle, and the children said,
"Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."

And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and
the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary.
But at all times she said to the children," A little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed, and when they reached the top
they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you."

And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up
at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my
children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness. Yesterday I gave them courage.
Today, I 've given them strength."

And the next day came strange clouds which darkened
the earth, clouds of war and hate and evil, and the children groped and stumbled, and the mother said: "Look up. Lift your eyes to the light.

" And the children looked and saw above the clouds an everlasting glory, and it guided them beyond the darkness. And that night the Mother said, "This is the best day of all, for
I have shown my children God."

And the days went on, and the weeks and the months and
the years, and the mother grew old and she was little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked with
courage. And when the way was rough, they lifted her,
for she was as light as a feather; and at last they came to a hill,
and beyond they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone, and their children after them."

And the children said, "You will always walk with us,
Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her. And they said: "We cannot see her
but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence......."

Your Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper
of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand
on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives
inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place you came from, your first home; and
she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can
separate you.

Not time, not space... not even death!

PASS THIS ON TO ALL THE MOTHERS & CHILDREN YOU KNOW.
MAY WE NEVER TAKE OUR MOTHER S FOR GRANTED...

Pass it on to the men too because they have mothers too....

as does my beloved Mother.
Those who live forever in our hearts are never far away.
I love to see all the old family photographs!
Every picture tells a story!

We are all divine, but I am the only one who had the nerve to call myself that.

1) Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2) Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their
conversational skills will be as important as any other.

3) Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

4) When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.

5) When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.

6) Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

7) Believe in love at first sight.

8) Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have
much.

9) Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to
live life completely.

10) In disagreements, fight fairly.. No name calling.

11) Don't judge people by their relatives.

12) Talk slowly but think quickly.

13) When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and
ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

14) Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

15) Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

16) When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

17) Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and
Responsibility for all your actions.

18) Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

19) When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct
it.

20) Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

21) Spend some time alone.

Giggles are good for the Soul

Life is short
Make fun of it!

2008 WILL be GREAT~
Giggles are good for the Soul!
Giggle Gram
A friend sent this to me via email!
I’ve sure gotten old!
I’ve had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement,
new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes
I’m half blind,
can’t hear anything quieter than a jet engine,
take 40 different medications that
make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts.
Have bouts with dementia.
Have poor circulation;
hardly feel my hands and feet anymore.
Can’t remember if I’m 85 or 92.
Have lost all my friends. But, thank God,
I still have my driver’s license.

I never get tired of music
heard this song today
Still love it!

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift

A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift

A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy, and grace.

And makes the world we live in a better and happier place.

There is a miracle called friendship, that dwells in the heart.
You do not know how it happens or when it gets it's start.

But you know the special lift it always brings.
You realize that friendship is the world's most precious gift!

Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will.

Happy New Year
God bless us all real good!

"It doesn't matter where you go in life.
What you do.
Or how much you have.
It's who you have beside you.
"

My Precious Grandmother turns 93 January 9th.
We will have a party in her honor this coming Saturday where she resides..........
Everyday we celebrate you Grandma!
We all love you so very much.

And now let us welcome the New Year
Full of things that have never been.
~Rainer Maria Rilke
January, the month of new beginnings, and cherished
memories beckons.
Come, let winter weave her wondrous spell:
cold, crisp, woolen-muffler days, long dark evenings
of savory suppers, lively conversations, or solitary joys.
Outside the temperature drops and snow falls softly.
All of nature is at peace. We should too, draw hearthside.
This if the month to dream, to look forward to the year ahead
and the journey within!

May 2008 bless us all with the very best blessings from Heaven.........

We went to mass and we were blessed at church the night before
by Father Daniel:
We went out for dinner and came home and relaxed..........
My dear cousin Susan from North Carolina
called and we had a lovely

talk...............
Today we will go to the movies...............

How To Bring in a Happy New Year

Take twelve whole months.
Clean them thoroughly of all bitterness,
hate, and jealousy.
Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.

Now cut each month into twenty-eight,
thirty or thirty-one different parts,
but don't make the whole batch at once.

Prepare it one day at a time
out of these ingredients.

Mix well into each day one part of faith,
one part of patience,
one part of courage,
and one part of work.

Add to each day one part of hope,
faithfulness, generosity, and meditation,
and one good deed.

Season the whole with a dash of good spirits,
a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play,
and a cupful of good humor.

Pour all of this into a vessel of love.
Cook thoroughly over radiant joy,
garnish with a smile,
and serve with quietness, unselfishness,
and cheerfulness.
